About the guidelines
Two of the committees (NENT and NESH) have their own subject-specific guidelines. In addition, there are a number of guidelines for the field of medicine, given by NEM, as well as separate guides for specific research areas. The commission for the investigation of research misconduct has created a guide for the institutions' reporting to the commission. The committees have also drawn up common general research ethics guidelines.

In addition to the main subject specific guidelines, there are guidelines and guides for internet research, research on human remains (NESH) and animal research (NENT).
There are also several guidelines only in Norwegian, such as for the medical and health research field.
